Pallagrello Nero from the extinct volcanic slopes of Roccamonfina, or what about Cascaveglia? a grape variety resurrected by Andrea Matrone, the only known producer to work with the variety? A selection of off the wall, but also "hey where DID that variety go?" wines that I'm pumped to share. Who else is selling you a blend of Fosso and Cascaveglia?

As always, the wines are artisanal, which for Cittavino & Co. means: less than average sulfite counts (the Matrone and Cacciagalli coming in at 25mg/L), the farmers are often also the winemakers, native and super whack never heard of grapes, and an effort to resurrect or give value back to what was becoming a barren agricultural landscape.
