Valle dell'Acate Il Frappato Vittoria DOC 2019

Frappato is one of Sicily’s most ancient grape varieties, more so than Nero d’Avola.

The Valle dell’Acate winery and vineyards are located in South Eastern Sicily  in the Acate commune within the province of Ragusa. Even more specifically, their vines grow in the Contrade of  Bidini Soprana and Sottana. This Frappato comes from predominantly clay soils, so it is powerful when compared to other producers' styles. It still, however, displays the quintessential and desirable Frappato characteristics: rose petals, ripe strawberry, mineral, white pepper, cinnamon, pomegranate.
