2023 Cantine Astroni Gragnano Penisola Sorrentina Throw everyone for a loop and bring this fizzy red from the coast of Naples. People will ask, "is this Lambrusco?" This flinty, wild red berried red is made from the Piedirosso grape, known in the volcanic zones of Campania. It's not quite as bubbly as Lambrusco, and it's a touch lighter than the typical inky juice. It's a touch off dry, but don't be shy! This is exactly the kind of bubbs you need for all that cheese and bacony bits. 

2022 Caravaglio 'Infatata' Salina IGT Malvasia delle Lipari Secco Try a dry Malvasia instead of a Gewürztraminer! This wine is unabashedly aromatic while maintaining salty savory notes. Orange blossom, apricot, preserved lemon peel, brine. Grapes on these wind-swept hills have always been cared for naturally, cleansed by the sea-salty air of the Mediterranean and protected by the island’s mineral soils, which also kept the phylloxera at bay. White wines are aged in tank on fine lees for two to three months. Very little sulfur is added during the winemaking process, to ensure the grapes’ natural flavors are allowed to express themselves fully.

NV Calabretta "Cala Cala" Nerello Mascalese Sicilia IGT (Etna) Bring an Etna red to the table instead of a Pinot Noir. Dusty and floral with a dark mix of dried black cherries, rose petals and spice. This is a juicy and pure effort with medium-bodied weight and citrus-infused wild berry fruits. From the northern slopes of Mt. Etna, made with 100% Nerello Mascalese in a minimal intervention approach. The wine is light, but the earthy components give the wine depth and complexity.
