Graci Etna Rosso 2019
Alberto Graci's philosophy is respect for local traditions and only cultivates varieties indigenous to Mount Etna: Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, and white grapes Carricante and Catarratto. The vineyards are certified organic with extra discerning use of any copper or sulfur sprays (as permitted by the Organic certification). They do not use herbicides or fungicides in order to preserve integrity and nutrients of the soil.
The grapes for this bottling grow between 600-700m asl, on the Northern slopes of Mt. Etna in Passopisciaro. It is 100% Nerello Mascalese fermented with selected yeasts, vinified and matured in concrete vats and large wooden tini (no temperature control).
Graci’s Etna Rosso is bright, vibrant, fresh juicy cherry, mint, with notes of cinnamon. It’s a classic Northern slope expression, especially being 100% Nerello Mascalese from northern facing vineyards.
