2019 Biondi "Outis" Etna Rosso
Outis means “no one”, and is a little inside between Stef and Ciro (they will gladly share with you when you go visit ;) and is a blend of native Aetnean grapes: Nerello Mascalese 80% and Nerello Cappuccio 20%. Certified organic, medium bodied, med+ acid, cherry, raspberry, cinnamon, licorice, black pepper. This bottling is fermented and aged in stainless steel.
The Biondi family has a long tradition of grape growing and winemaking on Mt. Etna. It was not, however, until 1999 when Ciro and Stef Biondi decided to return to the family vineyards and reinvest in the family business did their wines gain notoriety. The Biondi are one of the founding wineries of Mt. Etna’s new wave of winemaking and truly deserve credit in its exploding reputation.
